About Ọlaedo

Well, first of all, Ọlaedo is my little space the Internet where I help teens like me be their best… their gold.
I originally started this blog on Blogger, but A LOT of inconveniences drove me to WordPress (the better choice).
Ọlaedo is the Igbo word for a ‘Gold’, and I deemed it more than fitting to name my blog this, because that’s all it’s ever going to bring out of people. Most Nigerian teens can’t find anyone to reach out to when we need a listening ear, someone to understand, or someone to answer our questions. Well, I hope – no, know – Ọlaedo will be that place where you can come to kick back and read articles that talk about things that matter, things you want to hear; but not in conventional, stereotype statements that do everything but answer our questions and give us lasting motivation and guidance.
Ọlaedo will speak from the heart to inspire and cheer up hearts. 😊🤗🌷
About Me!

You wouldn’t be wrong if you just described me as: “a-girl-with-glasses-that-reads-and-writes-almost-all-the-time”. But that’s only part of the definition: My name is Vanessa. I’m a cheerful, (somewhat) introverted teen who loves writing, public-speaking and coding. God is my bestie😊 , and I don’t know where I would be today if it weren’t for him (*happy tear*).
Ọlaedo is something I started up to reach out to Nigerian teens like me who sometimes might just need to read a cheerful or inspirational piece to get back on track. It’s not like I’m the demigoddess of teenage living, but it’s one of my bull’s eyes as a person to see young people like me their best – their Gold – with a little help from time to time.
ahh its so nice to meet you Vanessa! I love your blog design, and all that you aim to achieve with this blog! Good luck on the journey, and i hope its an amazing one!
